Registration for 2024/2025 School Year

Bilal Sunday School welcomes you to another school year and invites you to register your children for the 2024-2025 academic year. Read below for some important announcements:  

Registration is only available online, no in-person registration.

Your child must be 6 years old by September 1st, 2024 and enrolled in 1st grade in elementary school to qualify for admission in grade 1 in Sunday School.

-Returning students simply need to log in and pay the fee for the new year by clicking here.

Continuation of remote learning

With the COVID-19 cases on the rise again in Oregon, we have decided to hold online school from Sept-December. There are multiple reasons for our approach: our room sizes are small and we will not be able to implement proper precautions of social distancing. Also, we have students from level 1-12th, and the younger kids are obviously not vaccinated which puts them and their families at risk. Some of our staff is Immunocompromised and we have to take their safety into account as well. Mandating masks in the school might not be enough of a precaution.

Based on these reasons, we hope to hold online school the first 3 months of the school year. We will revisit this policy in December around winter break for the next three months. We really hope to go back in-person as soon as possible Insha Allah.

Bilal Sunday School Eid Drive Thru

Asalamu alekom,

This Sunday May 23rd our classes will only be 1 hour total, 10am-11am. Each class will be only 30 minutes with no break in between. 
And replace the rest of the email with:

We are freeing up the rest of the school day for a drive thru Eid Party at Bilal Masjid. We will have fun activities, pizza, doughnuts and goody bags with toys to celebrate Eid.

Drive Thru will be from 11:15am-1:15pm.

Try your best to make sure your kids do not miss out on this special day! Let’s make it a fun celebration for everyone Insha Allah.

Ramadan Goody Bags and Journals 5 PM today at Bilal.

Asalamu alekom and Ramdan Mubarak,

To celebrate the beginning of Ramadan, Bilal Sunday School inshallah will be handing out Goody Bags and Ramadan journals for our students today at 5 PM right before Asr Prayer. We encourage everyone to come inshallah. If you are not able to make it, here are alternative days:

Sunday April 11th 5 PM
Tuesday April 13th 6 PM (Right before Asr which is at 6:15 PM)
Friday April 16th 2 PM (Right after Jummah which is at 1:30 PM)

All 3 dates will all be at Bilal Masjid inshallah. We really hope you can make it for your kids.

2018/2019 Registration Information

Aslaam Aalikum Parents

Bilal Sunday School welcomes you to another year. We invite you to register your child(ren) for the 2018-2019 academic year. The first day of the school year will be Sep 9th.

General Information

  1. This year we will continue to do both electronic and in-person face-to-face registration. Instructions are in the Registration section below.
  2. Please read the Discipline and the Dress Code Policy. Students will not be allowed to attend classes if dress code is violated and will be referred to disciplinary committee for violation of disciplinary code. You must agree to the policy when registering online and you will be required to sign a form if you register in-person.
  3. The school will start at 10:30 AM on September 9th, so plan to be there at 10:15 AM. If your child comes late, you will need to accompany them to the office and they will be marked late for that day.

Registration:

  1. Electronic registration activated now and will close on August 26th, midnight Pacific Time. You can register by clicking here. 
  2. In-Person registration is only on Sunday August 26th, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. There will not be any late in-person registration. If you are not going to be able to make it in-person, please register online before the deadline
  3. New students (except 1st graders) who have successfully registered either electronically or in-person will need to take a placement exam on Sunday August 26th, 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM. Students who failed last year, will need to test on Saturday August 25th between 10:30 AM-1:30 PM.   4. First day of School – Sunday September 9th, 10:30 AM
  5. Payment is due at registration. For in-person registration either one or two checks will be collected. See below.
