Bilal-Zaytuna Lecture Series, Saturday December 10th at 5:30 PM

Assalamalkum,

We are very happy to announce the 6th lecture of the Bilal-Zaytuna Lecture series. Dr Youssef Ismail will be talking to us about “Sunnah of Moonsighting”.

He will be speaking at the following three events during the weekend:
•Khutba at Bilal Masjid on Friday, December 9th, 12:30PM
•Community talk on Saturday evening (5:30PM), December 10th.
•Teach Sunday school students on Sunday, December 11th.

Registration Information for 2016/2017

 

Aslaam Aalikum Parents 

Bilal Sunday welcomes you to another year. We invite you to register your child(ren) for the 2016-2017 academic year. Because of Eid ul Adha, this year the first day of school will be Sep 18. 

General Information 

  1. This year we will do both electronic and in-person face-to-face registration. Instructions are in the Registration section below. 
  2. Please read the Discipline and the Dress Code Policy. Students will not be allowed to attend classes if dress code is violated and will be referred to disciplinary committee for violation of disciplinary code. You must agree to the policy when registering online and you will be required to sign a form if you register in-person. 
  3. The school will start at 10:30 AM on September 18th, so plan to be there at 10:15 AM. If your child comes late, you will need to accompany them to the office and they will be marked late for that day. 
  4. There is no change in the fee structure from last year.

Registration:

  1. Electronic registration activated now and will close on Sep 3rd, midnight Pacific Time. You can register by clicking here. 
  2. In-Person registration is only on Saturday September 3rd, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. There will not be any late in-person registration. If you are not going to be able to make it in-person, please register online before the deadline
  3. New students (except 1st graders) who have successfully registered either electronically or in-person will need to take a placement exam on Saturday September 3rd at 11:00 AM.
  4. First day of School – Sunday September 18th, 10:30 AM 
  5. Payment is due at registration. For in-person registration either one or two checks will be collected. See below.

No. of children No discount. Pay with two separate checks. 2nd check cashed Mar 1, 2017 5% Discounted Tuition. Prepay with single check. Electronic registration with credit card. Prepay entire year.

End of the Year Party on Saturday, June 4th, at 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM

ASM Bilal Sunday School Parents,

This is a friendly reminder to you all about the upcoming Bilal Sunday School "End of the Year Party" to be held on Saturday, June 4th,   at 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM (Please note that the party is on Saturday).

Please join us as we recognize our staff and  teachers, and celebrate the achievements of our students in an award ceremony. This year Abdullah bin Hamid Ali  is our  Guest speaker. He is the founder of Lamppost Productions and the Lamppost Education Initiative, and  heads the Zaytuna College’s Islamic Law program.

For children’s entertainment, we will have an Inflatable, face painting and  balloons. For everyone we will have complimentary pizza and cake.  Additional food items for sale will be provided by “Lucky Mart”. Lucky Mart  sells Chaat at Apna Bazar and  only accepts  cash or checks. No credit card. We will be delighted if you could join us for this celebration consisting of a brief talk and award ceremony followed by refreshments.

Bilal-Zaytuna Lecture Series, Saturday February 20th at 4:45 PM

Assalamalkum,

We are very happy to announce the 3rd lecture of the Bilal-Zaytuna Lecture series. Brother Dawood from Zaytuna College returns, the topic will be ‘After Hardship if Ease: Trusting Difficulties’.

He will be speaking at the following three events during the weekend:
•Khutba at Bilal Masjid on Friday, Feb 19th, 12:30PM
•Community talk on Saturday afternoon  ( after Asr  – 4:45PM), Feb 20th
•Teach Sunday school students on Feb 21st, Sunday.

Bilal-Zaytuna Lecture Series Continues

The next visit from Zaytuna is coming November 20th 2015. This visit will be by professor Ali Ataie.

-He will be doing the khutba at Bilal Masjid
-There will be a Saturday evening talk at Bilal Masjid, after Maghrib on November 21st – everyone is invited.
-He will also be teaching a class to our older students on Sunday and possibly talking to the entire school during assembly.

Zaytuna Scholar visiting our community!

Great news for the local Muslim community! Bilal Sunday School has arranged for Scholar “Dawood Yasin” from Zaytuna College (only 4 year accredited Islamic College in US) to visit in the weekend of Oct 16th.

-There will be a Saturday evening talk at Bilal Masjid, after Maghrib on Oct 17th – everyone is invited.
-He will also be teaching a class to our older students on Sunday and possibly talking to the entire school during assembly.
